Route 66 North
Page Under Construction- The page will pinpoint the 'epicenter' of 'Zoot Country'- the intersection of Highway 101 and Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in Marin County. Calidocious® Inc. believes Sir Francis Drake Boulevard can be much more than the primary East-West road of Marin. It can also serve as the final piece of the original East-West automobile route across the United States.
Mother of the 'Mother Road'
Proposed Route 66 North
To make this happen, a 'missing' piece of Route 66 needs to be added-
the stretch from Los Angeles to Marin via Highways 99 and 580. Actually, most of this extra route was included in the original transcontinental highway- the "National Old Trails Road" of 1912. The advantage for Marin of being at the end of Route 66 North is that it would grant Marin County access to the culture and history of the entire continent. In particular it would make Marin a stakeholder in the adventuresome "Wild West".
