"The Little Brother of War"
Page under construction. Will deal with the Native American sport of Lacrosse, or Baggatoway. There are parallels between Lacrosse, which defined Indian culture, and the great "Battle of the Golden Spurs", which has defined Flanders for almost a thousand years. In the Battle of the Golden Spurs, a citizens army, on foot, defeated the mighty French cavalry. Prior to this victory no one in Europe believed this was possible.

| Lacrosse is also a key of the Calidocious® Project because it provides a very good metaphor for conversation. The 'magical' Lacrosse stick is like language, which can be described as a tool to pass ideas back and forth. There is no other stick or racket sport where the trajectory of a ball, i.e. idea, can be controlled as precisely as in Lacrosse. Also, more than any other sport, the successive projectories of of the ball can be seen to create a meaningful pattern. If the Lacrosse ball were a ball of yarn that unraveled as it was tossed from player to player, the thread would soon form a tapestry. Culture can be considered to be such a tapestry.
