Spiced Tea with Rooibos- 10 Packets for $12.99- (U.S. Shipping Incl.) |
|
| Calidocious® spiced tea includes Rooibos, or Redbush, flavoring which is imported from the Afrikaans-speaking area of South Africa. Afrikaans is a form of Dutch similar to several of the dialects spoken in Flanders in the 18th century.
Currently Calidocious Inc. offers peppermints for sale and plans to add traditional Dutch candies shortly. A primary source of seasonings for the tea and candies will be Suriname in South America and the Dutch-Carribean islands. The dialects of Dutch spoken in the Carribean and South America are patois, or mixtures of Dutch and indigenous languages.
Boxes of 10 packets of Calidocious® Tea are $12.99 and a 1/2 lb of Calidocious Peppermint Candies is $15.99. Shipping is included in each price.

Spices from Dutch-speaking Suriname- Paramaribo |

| Page Under Construction:
During the first
half of the last century, Suriname was a major exporter not only of spices, but also of cacao. Then
the cacao plantations were devastated by two sorts of fungi, which still
cause major problems. Hopefully Suriname can one day resume large
scale cacao production.
